Running is a great way to relax and push yourself past limitations. It lowers your risk of cardiovascular disease, boosts energy and metabolism and creates stronger bones. These programs will help with all of those as you take yourself to a new level of fitness. From speed work, to hill work with a lot of base building in between. You will forge a new you and become part of a new, encouraging community.
Ready, Set, Run 2.0
This is the new edition of our Ready, Set, Run program. Over the 10 weeks, you will meet twice a week with your coach and have one running day on your own. Other days you will be cross training in order to bring out the best version of yourself.
The program will focus on track work, grass and hill work with one of our running coaches and one long jog per week on your own or as a team. Other days you will be cross training depending on the homework. We are also having optional weightlifting specifically for runners as this will help build a stronger individual that will feel better overall and prevent more injuries.
Beginner? No problem. Intermediate? Great. Advanced? Let’s go. No matter your ability level, we will help you succeed.

Savage Roses Running Club
Looking to run but don’t know where to start? Start with us at the Y. Our running club will promote community of all ability levels. Weekly emails of a track workout and a long run suggestion created by our running coaches.
Practices will be Monday mornings at 6am or Monday evenings at 6:15pm.
We will keep you up to date on race suggestions, race acknowledgements, and optional gatherings happening in our community.
Casual runners and competitive runners are all welcome.
These are not structured practices run by coaches. These are drop in style practices to run with others in order to push yourself.
