LIVESTRONG at the YMCA Cancer Survivor Program
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA assists those who are living with, through, or beyond cancer to regain strength and connect with other cancer survivors.
Program Description:
- Evidence-based cancer survivor program
- Small group supportive environment
- 12-week program
- Two 90 minute sessions per week
- Provided by 2-3 certified instructors
- Includes cardiovascular conditioning , strength training, balance and flexibility exercises
- Evaluation includes fitness and quality of life assessments before and after participation
Goals:
- Improve cardio endurance, strength, balance and flexibility
- Build confidence and improve self esteem
- Improve quality of life
Eligibility:
- Adult survivor in any stage of the cancer journey
- Referral and medical clearance from a health care provider
Fee:
- Free
- Includes a 6 Month YMCA membership during the program

- City Center YMCA
- Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA
