Our Mission: It is the mission of the YMCA of the Roses to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We exist to develop and practice the principles of faith, hope, love, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Key Focus Areas & Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel in the development of strategic plans related to the Christian mission of the YMCA and its integration into mission-imperative programs and services.
- Establish programs that enhance the mission of the YMCA of the Roses. Such programs could include but not be limited to: Good Friday Breakfast, Men’s/Women’s Bible Studies, Chaplaincy Program, Prayer boxes at branch sites and special events for disadvantaged populations such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinners for Men’s Residence.
- Review and make recommendations related to putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Chaplaincy Services (coming soon!)
The CEC facilitates chaplaincy services for all branches of the Y of the Roses. Chaplains are available to walk alongside Y members, providing spiritual direction and a listening ear to those who are prompted to seek assistance.
CBMC Bible Study
Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) affiliated bible studies at our York and Lancaster locations.
Prayer Box
The CEC has provided prayer boxes at all branches, and designated prayer teams for each branch are in place. Chaplains are available for those seeking personal contact.
