Pickleball
Join us in participating in one of the fastest growing sports in America. Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Players play as singles, doubles (same gender), or mixed doubles (one male, one female) on a 44′ x 20′. Players play with a wiffleball like ball and wooden or composite paddles.
We offer a variety of programs ranging from a beginner class for those who are new to the sport, and intermediate program for more experience players, and a pickleball league for those who wish to test their skills against other teams!
Lampeter – We run sessions of pickleball indoors January – April and September – December. We shutdown during the Summer months due to the availability of outdoor play and to reserve the space for our summer camp in the event of inclement weather.
Shrewsbury (The W. Dale Brougher Foundation YMCA) – 6 week sessions for Beginner & Intermediate players. Now offering Youth Clinics as well!
AM Beginner Pickleball
Join us for our introduction level course on Pickleball. Our skilled instructors will teach you all about the court, the rules, scoring, and everything else you need to know to get started on your path to being a pro pickleball player (or just a casual homer). Classes are Tuesdays from 11:00 a – 12:00 p in the LS YMCA gym.

Beginner Pickleball Clinic - Shrewsbury
Our Beginner Pickleball Clinic is an introductory level course on Pickleball. The class is appropriate for true beginners (newbies) to the game as well as those that are playing casually but who NEVER received formal beginner training. Our skilled instructors (IPTPA certified) will teach you all about the fundamentals of the game, the history, strokes, rules, paddle, grip, scoring, etiquette, overall strategy of the game, proper warm up and safety to get you started on your path to being a professional pickleball player or just a casual social player.

Junior Pickleball Clinic (Ages 13-16) - Shrewsbury
For Athletically Active Youth
Join our high-energy Junior Pickleball Clinic, designed for athletes ages 13-16 who have prior experience in sports and want to develop skills in one of the fastest-growing games! Whether you come from tennis, baseball, soccer, or other athletic backgrounds, this clinic will teach you the fundamentals of pickleball, including strategy, shot techniques, and court movement. Expect fast-paced drills, competitive play, and expert coaching to help you advance quickly.

Pickleball League-Competitive
This is a competitive league, we are asking players are at least a 3.5 or higher. The purpose of the league is to compete against the best of the area.
- Thursday mornings from 11am-1pm
Each individual must register, and a confirmation email with your partner’s name must be sent to Derek at [email protected].

Pickleball League - Recreational - Lampeter
This is an open league, we are not asking for your rating. This does mean that the skill of our players may vary widely. The purpose of the league is for fun, and getting players to play.
Join us for a 6 team, 8 week mixed doubles, 18+ round robin pickleball league. You will play every team once a week to determine an overall record (5 games a week). After 7 weeks of play, the final week will be a tournament with the best team (record wise) will play the worst team (record wise), etc. Games will run from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm on Wednesdays.
Any Nonmember registered for the league will also receive access to our Open Pickleball Monday-Friday from 12:00pm-3:00pm.

Classes are now Tuesdays from 6:30pm – 7:30 pm in the LS gym.
Now that you have mastered the easy stuff its time to up your game. Our experienced instructors will help you work through new drills to bring your game up to a new level. They will also help teach you tactics and strategy to really elevate your game.
