Since earning my degree, I have spent every moment learning and growing with and in the fitness industry. My overall claim to fame is that I focus on alignment and posture because I believe, and have experienced the best results, when we learn how to move our bodies with proper form and awareness of how the entire body works as a unit. I train for functional strength and mobility so everyone can move and feel better to get the most out of an active life at any age. I am experienced with training youth, athletes, special populations, post rehabilitation, active older adults and our beautiful middle-aged women. As a former college swim coach, I have always had a passion for helping others reach their best in all phases of their life (mind, body, spirit) and that is why I became a Personal Trainer and what drives me to help others. What the mind believes, the body achieves.

Physical Training has been a tool, a hobby, and a drive that has been a staple in my life for about eleven years now. I love working with people to reach their goals, and believe in making everything you do in life easier by the efficiency that comes with a healthy, capable body. Personal Training lets me meet new people from all different walks of life that share one common drive, and I love that. I am a former competitive Powerlifter who now teaches Foundations of Strength classes to Youth and Adults at the Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA on top of Personal Training.

Personal training is not just my passion, pastime or profession, it’s my purpose. I’ve take classes at HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College) in their Exercise Science Program. I’ve exercised starting at 10 years old up to my present age of 54 years. I’ve been a Personal Trainer for over 30 years, starting my career in the 90s at Bally Total Fitness transitioning to the Arthur J. Glatfelter YMCA of the Roses. I train men, women and children of all ages.

I’ve been a Group Exercise Instructor for 8 years. I recently took on the full-time role as the Wellness Director at the Arthur J. Glatfelter YMCA of the Roses. You can find me in the Wellness Center, working as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer at both Dover and York branches. The clients I’ve helped through Personal Training are just getting back into cardiovascular and functional training and are very grateful for their individual workouts, accountability and coaching.
I teach Active Older Adult Classes (Silver Sneakers, Enhance Fitness), Les Mills SPRINT and Group Cycle. I have a passion for bringing my love for fitness to individuals in group exercise classes. Working out can be fun!
My husband Mike (of 20 years) and I have two amazing daughters, Siena and Marie. I started my fitness journey running short and long distances and swimming at the age of 14. Most recently I enjoy Kickboxing, Cycling, LES Mills BODYPUMP, Les Mills BODYCOMBAT and Cross Fit. I taught religious education for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Freedom for 8 years. I volunteer on occasion when time permits! I was a full time Substitute Teacher at Dallastown Area Intermediate School for 3 years before my full-time position at the Y. I’m very happy to be serving the YMCA as part of the team.
